Pontian Royal Garden Park Series

This is a series of works based on the theme of the Pontian Royal Park and Banana Island by the seaside of Pontian.

The four paintings show four different color palette and flowers in the same landscape and the same dusk. But in different climates, they show a different scenery.

These four works were made by incorporating my personal emotions.

Nyonya Girl Sewing Doll's Clothes Series 1

In the early decades of the last century, sewing and mending were familiar parts of a young girl’s daily life.

In this painting, a doll dressed in a carefully sewn outfit is seated on a chair, as though waiting patiently.

Such scenes reflect a time when handmade toys and garments were common, and skills like sewing were passed down as part of everyday domestic education.

Inheritance Series 1

This painting was inspired by a pair of red baby socks which were knitted by my grandmother(外婆)as a full moon gift when my eldest brother was born.

I imagined how my grandmother was taught by my great grandmother the method to knit when my grandmother was young.
